In celebration of the 40th anniversary of BERA, we invite you to the following social events throughout the programme. Help BERA celebrate their anniversary.
Tuesday 23rd September
Welcome Reception
18.30 – 19.30 (Institute of Education, London)
An informal evening reception is open to all delegates at no extra cost. Delegates are invited to the Exhibit Hall for the Welcome Reception whilst enjoying wine and canapés.This will be an excellent opportunity to network and mingle with exhibitors, meet old friends and colleagues, and to make new ones.
The Welcome Reception is included in the full registration fees. Additional tickets for guests can be purchased at the time of registration.
Tuesday 23rd September
Conference Dinner 20.00 – Late
Browns Restaurant, 82-84 St Martins Lane, Covent Garden, WC2N 4AG
BERA invite you to the conference dinner at a prestigious restaurant in the heart of London. Browns Restaurant is located 2 minutes from Leicester Square tube station. Leicester Square tube station is accessible on the Piccadilly line, which also serves Russell Square tube station (2 minutes from the IOE).
The conference dinner is a set 3-course meal and includes ½ a bottle of wine per person or non-alcoholic drinks. A cash bar will also be exclusively available, should you wish to purchase more drinks.
Tickets must be pre-booked. Limited tickets available on the day. Tickets will be coloured coded to indicate which room you will be seated in.
Wednesday 24th September
Main Social Gathering 19.00 – Late
Bloomsbury Bowling, The Kingpin Suite, Tavistock Square, London, UK WC1H 9EU
Join BERA at the Kingpin Suite, for a night of bowling, fun and games. Located opposite the IOE, the Kingpin Suite is far more than a room with bowling lanes, there will also be karaoke and Wii fun. We will be holding bowling tournaments with trophies for the winning teams. Or fancy yourself as the next X Factor, then head over to our karaoke room. Don’t worry if you don’t feel like playing any games, there is also a bar area to enjoy a few cocktails and listen to the resident DJ. There will be canapés and cocktails for all delegates on arrival. There will also be a cash bar available all night.
