The BERA Public Engagement and Impact Award recognises and celebrates the impact of research and practice in the education community and how both have demonstrably engaged the public.
Person
Dr Stephen Roulston is a research fellow at Ulster University (UU) with research interests in ICT in education, and the challenges of education in divided societies. He is part of the UU team which has worked on Future Schools, building on his research into isolated pairs of schools in Northern Ireland. He leads the Transforming Education project in the UNESCO Centre at UU which aims to stimulate debate about Northern Ireland’s education system ahead of the report from the Independent Review of Education. He is a senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
