2025 BERA Undergraduate Award Winner

We are delighted to announce that the winner of the BERA Undergraduate Award Winner 2025 is Brooke Armstrong for her outstanding thesis:

“Educational support for secondary school students with long term health conditions in England: Using the biopsychosocial model of disability to understand the impact of educational support on students’ experiences.”

Brooke’s research impressed the judging panel with its thoughtful methodology, critical insight, and the relevance of its findings to current educational practice. 

Brooke completed her undergraduate studies at Newcastle University

The BERA Undergraduate Thesis of the Year Award  is judged on its rationale, methodological rigour, conceptual or theoretical underpinning, presentation of findings and potential implications for research and practice.
