Professor Vassilis Komis is dean of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and a professor at the Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education, University of Patras, Greece. His scientific interests are related to computer science education, the integration of digital technologies in teaching and learning (technology enhanced learning) and the training of teachers in technologies. Vassilis has been a principal investigator in many European (Horizon, FP7, Erasmus CBHE, ΚΑ2) and national research projects and author of many scientific books and peer-reviewed papers. He is also director of the ICT in Education research group at the University of Patras, an expert at the Institute for Education Policy in Greece and a senior researcher at the Computer Technology Institute and Press (CTI) – ‘Diophantus’ (Education and Training sector) and at the Centre de recherche interuniversitaire sur la formation et la profession enseignante (CRIFPE Canada).
