Dr Sveta Mayer is a lecturer at UCL Institute of Education and member of Bloomsbury Colleges Centre for Educational Neuroscience. She is involved in interdisciplinary research, drawing upon play-based pedagogy and social neuroscience, to design and evaluate technology-based education interventions that support children and young people’s socio-emotional learning. She is a qualified teacher and has considerable experience supporting education practitioners’ evidence-based practice through inquiry-based learning, from early years to KS5. Sveta is co-principal investigator for the UnLocke project funded by Education Endowment Fund/Wellcome Trust, and principal investigator evaluating the Young Londoners Youth Mental Health First Aid programme, funded by the Greater London authority.
