Katie Stote is a Employability and Placements Advisor at the University of Exeter (UK). Alongside building students' skills and confidence in applying for and succeeding in placements as part of the With Industrial Experience degree programme, Katie is undertaking research into identifying and creating interventions for the barriers preventing disabled and neurodivergent students from partaking in professional development opportunities through a co-development approach. Katie previously worked as a Project Officer on the University of Plymouth's Office for Students and Research England funded project 'Engaging Students in Knowledge Exchange'. Alongside her current role, Katie is studying a master’s degree in Education (Special Educational Needs and Inclusion), with a particular focus on disability and inclusion within UK higher education institutions.
