Gabriella F. Buttarazzi, Dr

Dr Gabriella F. Buttarazzi works in the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at the University of East London (UEL). She holds a doctorate on the integration of meditative practices into higher education pedagogy and curriculum for the integral development of university students, explored from philosophical, psychological and sociological perspectives. She is a member of the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education (ACMHE), a member of the Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain (PESGB) and a senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). She is also a teacher, teacher trainer and educational researcher in integral yoga, meditation and other contemplative practices, having established meditation spaces, accredited meditation university courses and staff integral yoga programmes, and has lived and taught in six countries. Over the years, she has also trained and mentored university teaching staff in pedagogy and curriculum development, educational research ethics and HEA fellowship applications. Gabriella is currently working as part of the Raising Awareness of Mental Health in Higher Education research team (RAMHHE) led by Dr Josephine NwaAmaka Bardi, helping to shed light on how to best support university students integrally.
