Katie Richardson, Dr

Research Fellow at Australian Council for Educational Research

Dr Katie Richardson is a research fellow at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), working with ACER’s Centre for School and System Improvement. She moved into teacher education at the University of Melbourne in 2004. She lectured in the Inclusive Education team at Deakin University, and developed subjects for the Master of Education at Torrens University. She has previously developed teacher education courses and written, co-ordinated and delivered units at undergraduate, graduate and Master’s levels in the areas of: assessment; inclusive education; the scholarship of teaching and learning; and a range of areas in pre-service teacher education. She has a focus in online education, and currently teaches exclusively in online environments. Katie began her career in education as a classroom teacher and a specialist EAL/D teacher. She has worked in both public and private sector schools and taught students ranging from foundation/prep to year 12.
