Climate change is arguably the most pressing educational imperative of modern times, yet in our universities and communities – and within BERA itself – it remains relatively underdiscussed. This special issue of the BERA Blog, edited by Kevin Smith (Cardiff University), attempts to redress that balance, featuring nine contributions from across and beyond the field of education that address how pupils, educators and educational researchers are currently responding – and should respond – to our climate crisis.
