Sarah Steadman, Dr

Lecturer in English education at Kings College London

Dr Sarah Steadman is a lecturer in English Education in the School of Education, Communication and Society at King’s College London, where she leads on the secondary English PGCE. Her doctorate focused on the experience of learning to teach in different postgraduate routes in England and her current research is concerned with teacher identity and the ongoing professional development of teachers. She was a research associate on the Economic and Social Research Council-funded project ‘Understanding and mitigating the impact of Covid-19 disruption on trainee and early career teachers in secondary schools’, leading on the analysis of data and the policy brief. Sarah is an experienced secondary English teacher, senior manager and educational consultant.
