Dr Will Baker is a senior lecturer in education in the School of Education at the University of Bristol. He is a sociologist of education with longstanding interests in educational inequality, the formation of aspirations, values and moral attitudes and parenting. In his research he draws on both qualitative and quantitative data. Over the last year he has been studying the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on children’s centres in Bristol and has an emerging interest in the relationship between food insecurity and education. Will’s work has been published in journals such the British Journal of Sociology, the British Journal of Sociology of Education and the Oxford Review of Education.
