Rune Johan Krumsvik, Professor

Professor of Education at University of Bergen

Rune Johan Krumsvik is a professor in education at the University of Bergen and a professor at Volda University College. Krumsvik has been the head of the Department of Education at the University of Bergen (UiB) from 2010 to 2017 and is the founder and leader of the research group for Digital Learning Communities at the Department of Education (UiB). Krumsvik is also the founder and leader of the researcher school Western Norway Graduate School of Educational Research II (WNGER II), the Editor-in-Chief of the Nordic Journal of Digital Literacy and an Associate Editor at Frontiers in Pediatrics. He has published many books and scientific articles (h-index 31, i10-index 50) in artificial intelligence, doctoral education, digital competence, etc. He received the Teaching Prize 2012 at the Faculty of Psychology, UiB, and in 2020 he was merited as an outstanding teacher (excellent teaching practitioner) at the Faculty of Psychology, UiB.
