Nicola Morea holds a PhD from the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge, for which he investigated the development of pre-service teacher multilingual identity and beliefs about multilingualism during teacher education. Nicola is working as a post-doctoral research associate at the Institute of Education at the University of Reading, where he is part of the ‘Progression in Languages’ project, a longitudinal study funded by a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship exploring language learning in English primary schools. Nicola’s research interests include school language policies, multilingualism, teacher multilingual identity and beliefs, teacher education, and language assessments. Prior to his doctoral studies, Nicola taught French and Italian in secondary schools in England.
