Neil Carey

Principal Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University

Neil is Principal Lecturer in Internationalism. His research focusses on creative and arts-based methods in social science research. His PhD, a que(e)rying quest for intersectionality, explored how creative fiction and autoethnography might disrupt the spaces and cultural stories attaching to (homo)sexual and (male) gay identities. His wider research interests include queering qualitative research, discourse and issues relevant to the internationalization of higher education.
