Mehmet Demir, Dr

Research Fellow at University of Birmingham

Mehmet DEMIR, Ph.D., is currently a Research Fellow in the Department of Education and Social Justice at the University of Birmingham. He has his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Pedagogy from the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt), a first-class honours Master degree and Primary Teaching degree from esteemed Turkish universities. He is also a certified Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in the UK. His research expertise in social media, virtual learning and AI. During his PhD studies in the US, he worked on many projects involving data collection, analysis, and reporting. As a result of his contributions to CEAC research projects at the University of Pittsburgh, he was offered a job as a research assistant. Then he worked as researcher as well. In addition, Dr. Demir served as a research assistant and lecturer at Adiyaman University. In the past, he worked as a headteacher and assistant headteacher for two years and taught for five years in reputable primary schools.
