His research interests connect with the intersection between history, education and memory. In particular, he is interested in the role of history in reconciliation (especially in regard to commemoration and remembrance) and historical consciousness, as well as how young people develop critical, evidence-based understandings of the past that are inclusive, allow space for different perspectives and encourage meaningful critique.
