Kylie Peppler

Associate Professor at University of California, Irvine

Kylie Peppler is an associate professor of informatics and education at the University of California, Irvine and director of the Creativity Labs. Her current scholarly interests include theorising how changing the tools and materials in today’s learning environments can help broaden participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), particularly among women and minority populations, as well as help to improve overall learning outcomes. Peppler currently serves as associate editor of the Computer Science Education journal, and is the lead editor of the SAGE Encyclopedia of Out-of-School Learning (2017), and co-editor of Makeology volumes 1 & 2 (2016) with Drs Yasmin Kafai and Erica Halverson, among other volumes.
