Karen Hanrahan, Ms

Lecturer in Education at Institute of Education

Karen Hanrahan is a lecturer in Languages Education at IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society. Prior to this Karen was a principal lecturer in Education at the University of Brighton, where she worked for ten years. She began her HE career as an Associate Lecturer at the Open University in 2009 alongside her work in secondary schools. Karen's interdisciplinary PhD, for which she was awarded AHRC funding, focuses on the life histories of former teaching nuns, one of whom is her mother.
