Helen Foster-Collins, Dr

Lecturer at University of Exeter

Dr Helen Foster-Collins comes from a varied academic background in philosophy, psycholog, and education, and is fascinated by research which crosses boundaries of methodology, discipline or professional field. She has a passion for using qualitative research methods to understand people’s experiences, to support their health, psychological wellbeing and professional development. Her PhD research made cross-professional comparisons between teaching and medicine, and she has also looked at the experiences of perinatal clinical psychologists in training. Helen helped coordinate a collaborative multi-stakeholder project which put together a toolkit of resources to support the translation of prescribing education interventions into clinical practice.
Helen is currently a lecturer in the psychology department at the University of Exeter, UK.
