Anastasios Asimakopoulos is the Programme Director for Pre-Sessional English (Summer) at the International Study and Language Institute, University of Reading (UoR). He has taught English for academic and specific purposes in the UK higher education sector for a decade and developed a corpus training course for teachers at the University of Sheffield. He holds an MSc in TESOL, a PgCert in Teaching EAP, and is currently working towards completion of an MA in Corpus Linguistics at Lancaster University. His interests cover pedagogical applications of corpus tools and corpora and corpus-based critical discourse analysis.
