Dr Amina Razak is a research associate in the Inclusive Newcastle Knowledge Centre, Newcastle University. Her work involves evaluating the objectives in the university’s Access and Participation Plan and advancing learning about addressing inequalities in access, success and progression in higher education. Amina has an interest in student voice, co-creation, participatory action research and community organising and a passion for working collaboratively with groups that are seldom heard to amplify their voices and work towards greater social justice. She is a member of Tyne & Wear Citizens UK, Racial Justice in Education Action Group and is a Co-convenor of the NERUPI Student Voice in Higher Education working group; a group dedicated to exploring and sharing approaches to fostering meaningful student voice in a range of contexts.
