BERA update and AGM 2020

BERA Members only – you will need to be logged in to see the register button

Online registration for this event has now closed, please email events@bera.ac.uk to register.

Due to the cancellation of this year’s BERA Annual Conference, we have also postponed our Annual General Meeting (AGM). The 45th BERA AGM will take place online, via the BERA website, on Monday 7th December 2020 at 14:00.

All members are invited to attend and registration is free.

The agenda can be seen below and the papers will be published ahead of the meeting and communicated with all members.

The meeting will look back on BERA’s activities over the 2019/20 academic year and allow members a chance to hear from BERA’s officers, chief executive and committee chairs as well as ask questions on their reports. Members will also be able to hear an update on how BERA is responding to the challenges posed by COVID-19 and some of the latest developments in recent months as well as the exciting future projects and opportunities to come in 2021. At this time of change, engagement with our members is vital and we look forward to this opportunity to do that and hope to see you there.

This year, the AGM includes a member vote on a one-off proposal to extend the current BERA presidency for one additional year.

Should any BERA member be unable to attend the AGM, but wish to vote, a proxy may be appointed to vote on their behalf. Please email secretariat@bera.ac.uk outlining your full name and the full name of your proxy. The proxy must attend the meeting. The proxy notice may specify how the proxy is to vote (or that they are to abstain) on the proposed resolution. BERA’s officers and chairs are all attending the meeting and they may be appointed as proxy voters.
Notices of proxy must be received by midday GMT on 7th December 2020

Should you have any queries please contact secretariat@bera.ac.uk
