Dr Ye (Catherine) Cao received her PhD in Education from King’s College London. Her research interests are in engagement issues in science education and educational social inequalities. Additionally, she engaged with the research project of sustaining teacher quality and retention post-pandemic. Before joining King's College London, she obtained a Master of Engineering degree from Boston University in material science and engineering. She also worked in the Chinese education industry for two years, and she is an academic KOL at a Chinese social media (Xiaohongshu) with 15k followers.
