Gabriella F. Buttarazzi, Dr

Senior Educational Developer at University of East London

Dr Gabriella F. Buttarazzi has worked in academic development in the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at the University of East London (UEL) since 2020. She holds a doctorate from the University of Nottingham on the integration of meditation practices into higher education pedagogy and curriculum, adopting an integral approach to human knowledge and experience, spirituality and student development. She is a member of the steering group for the Contemplative Pedagogy Network (CPN), a trustee for the London-based charity The Meditation Trust, and a Senior Fellow of Advance Higher Education (SFHEA). Gabriella has taught in adult and higher education in Japan, Italy, Mexico, Spain, China and the UK in arts, humanities and social sciences disciplines for two decades. She is co-founder and co-editor-in-chief of UEL’s Scholarship of Teaching and Learning journal Patterns of Practice.
