Sarah Younie, Professor

Professor in Education Innovation at De Montfort University

Sarah Younie is a principal lecturer in Education at De Montfort University and a visiting Senior Research Fellow at University of Bedfordshire. She has been involved in international research on educational technologies and teaching for twenty five years including the EU funded projects; ‘European SchoolnetMultimedia’, ‘Schoolscape of the Future‘ and ‘Web@classroom‘ project (which received the European award for ‘Best Innovation with ICT in Education’). DUringher tenure as Chair of ITTE she conducted national research including gathering evidence for the Parliamentary Select Committee Inquiry into Education.

Sarah has presented research papers at international conferences, published articles on ICT and education and recently published a co-authored book with Marilyn Leask: Teaching with Technologies: The Essential Guide (2013). She is an Associate Editor international Journal of Technology, Pedagogy and Education. Dr Younie is a founder member of MESH (Mapping Education Specialist knowhow)and is the Editor-in-Chief of the MESHguides for ICT.
