Saima Salehjee, Dr

Senior Lecturer in Education with STEM specialism at University of Glasgow

Dr Saima Salehjee is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Glasgow. She is responsible for teaching and research work, particularly on Science Education. Saima has received grants to continue her research with underprivileged children on providing science literacy and developing teacher-researchers in the Further and Higher Education sectors. Her publications, including two books and various peer-reviewed articles, highlight the importance of equity and inclusion of BAME multi-aged women into the culture of science. Moreover, as part of her knowledge exchange activities, she has organised various seminars on equity, equality and diversity and is involved in working groups on the anti-racist curriculum in the UK.
