Pauline Taylor-Guy, Professor

Director, Centre for School and System Improvement at ACER

Professor Pauline Taylor-Guy is currently the Director of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) Institute and Centre for School and System Improvement (CSSI). The Centre provides global research and practice leadership in school and system improvement and supports individuals, schools and education systems in their school improvement strategy and implementation. Pauline enjoys working with diverse education systems and countries in developing improvement frameworks and capacity-building. Pauline’s teaching career started in the UK in 1983. She spent 11 years in East and Central Africa before moving to Australia where she held a range of school and system leadership positions. From 2006, on completion of her doctoral study in education policy implementation, she held a range of academic leadership positions at James Cook University in Queensland before joining ACER in 2016.
