Michael Inglis is a lecturer in science education and a member of the Centre for Curriculum, Pedagogy and Policy in the School of Education at the University of Leeds. He has been a science teacher educator for 14 years and he leads the BA Education programme. His research interests are in initial teacher education and language in science education. He taught physics in secondary schools in London and Hertfordshire, and supported the professional development of science teachers and teacher educators in Ethiopia for two years with Voluntary Service Overseas. Prior to becoming a teacher, he was a geophysicist in the oil industry.
