Lecturer in Education (Early Childhood Studies) at University of Plymouth

Katherine Evans is a lecturer in education at the University of Plymouth and works within the Plymouth Institute for Education where she leads the foundation stage and key stage 1 pathway for the BEd Primary Programme, and is a member of the Early Childhood Studies team. Katherine’s research interests include early childhood education and early years teacher education, with a particular focus on discourses of readiness and transition in the educational experience of children and practitioners. Katherine is an experienced early years and primary school teacher having worked for more than 10 years in a variety of education and care settings, including Children’s Centres, schools and nurseries.
