Jonathan Doherty works in teacher education at Leeds Trinity University. Previously head of primary education, he teaches postgraduate and master’s students, and works extensively with teachers. His research interests are in school improvement in the areas of schools as learning organisations, coaching and teacher leadership. He is currently undertaking research with a multi-academy trust (MAT) in Bradford in relation to these areas, with a view to providing new data on what makes this MAT a high-performing organisation.
Jonathan is also chair of the National Primary Teacher Education Council (NaPTEC).
