Jennifer Leigh, Dr

Senior Lecturer at University of Kent

Jennifer Leigh is a senior lecturer at the Centre for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Kent. Her research interests include embodiment, phenomenological and creative research methods, academic practice, and marginalisation and ableism in academia. She initially trained as a chemist, somatic movement therapist, and yoga teacher before completing her doctorate in education. She is vice-chair (people) of WISC (an international network for Women In Supramolecular Chemistry), bringing embodied research approaches (and glitter) into the world of chemistry. She edited Conversations on Embodiment for Routledge, and has two forthcoming books: Embodied Inquiry: Research Methods for Bloomsbury with Nicole Brown, and Boundaries of Qualitative Research: With Art, Education, Therapy and Science for Bristol University Press.
