Janina Suppers is a PhD candidate at the Department of Education at the University of York. Her research focuses on young people’s participation in new citizenship contexts in rural communities and the role of citizenship education. Janina has experience in conducting qualitative, mixed methods and participatory research and has previously worked as a citizenship teacher in Germany and New Zealand.
