Iwi Ugiagbe-Green, Dr

Reader at Manchester Metropolitan University

Dr Iwi Ugiagbe-Green has over 20 years’ experience of working in higher education and nearly 15 years’ experience of supporting students in higher education. She is Reader at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School and a (lapsed) accountant! She describes herself as an academic activist and anti-racism scholar. In the last five years her work has focused on race and its intersection with other characteristics within the context of student education, experience, transition, and progression to graduate labour market and postgraduate study. Iwi is recognised nationally, as an expert on race equity issues that impact students in higher education and graduate employment. She is a member of Race Equality Charter (REC) panel for Advance HE. She is the Co-chair of the Diversity SIG for British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA). She chairs several committees and working groups for TASO, BERA and NEON and is an executive board advisor to the Good + Fair Employers Club.
