Irfan Ahmed Rind is an accomplished academic leader and researcher with extensive administrative experience. Currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Language Studies at Sohar University, Oman, he previously held the position of Professor of Education and Dean of the Faculty of Education at Sukkur IBA University, Pakistan. Dr Rind has led numerous innovative academic programmes and research initiatives. His administrative contributions include the development and implementation of groundbreaking educational policies and projects that have had a significant impact on education governance in Sindh, Pakistan. Most notably, he served as the Technical Lead for the ‘Implementation of School Clustering Policy in Sindh’, a transformative educational governance reform sponsored by UNICEF and funded by the European Union. Additionally, he led the development of the Teacher Licensing Policy in Sindh – the first of its kind in Pakistan’s 76-year history – pioneering a professional standardisation framework for educators across the province.
