Fay Cosgrove, Mrs

PhD researcher at Cardiff University

Fay Cosgrove has been a primary teacher since 2005 and is currently a PhD researcher at Cardiff University. She was a regional lead practitioner for numeracy, Outstanding Teacher Programme facilitator, school senior leader, and a consultant for the Welsh Government. She has a master’s degree in Education and another in Social Science Research Methods. She writes and conducts research for Learnus, an educational think-tank, where she is also a council member. She is an ESRC-funded PhD candidate at Cardiff University. Her research interests include working qualitatively and quantitatively with teacher professional learning, the STEM gender gap, psychometric scale development, and maths anxiety in children and teachers.
