Deborah Outhwaite, Dr

Director at University of Liverpool

Deb Outhwaite has worked in education for 30 years. She has taught and examined at A-level, spent a decade teaching undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes. She is Director of Developing Teachers, Schools and Academies (DTSA), and is a part-time EdD supervisor at the University of Liverpool. She has sat on the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Teaching Profession since 2015, and sits on the Fabian Education Policy Group. She has been a secondary governor in an 11–18 comprehensive school, and is a member of a school trust that delivers the IB Diploma. Deb is incoming Chair of the British Educational Leadership, Management and Administration Society (BELMAS), and previously sat on the IPDA International Committee. She co-convenes the BELMAS RIG on Leadership Preparation and Development (LPD), and attends the BERA Educational Leadership SIG.
