Berit Karseth is a professor at the Department of Education at the University of Oslo. Her main research and publications are in the fields of education policy, reforms, curriculum studies and professions. Her contribution is on higher education as well as primary and secondary education. Berit was the elected dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Oslo 2013–2016 and is currently the leader of the research group Curriculum Studies, Educational Leadership and Educational Governance (CLEG) at the same institution. She has also served as the president of the Nordic Educational Research Association (NERA). She is currently the leader for the evaluation project EVA2020 (2019–2025), which analyses the Curriculum Renewal in Norway, known as the LK20.
