Anja Stumpf, Ms

Postgraduate Researcher at King's College London

Anja Stumpf is a postgraduate researcher at King’s College London in the School of Education, Communication and Society. She holds a BA in Music from Berklee College of Music (2016) and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from King’s College London (2018). She worked as a music educator and language instructor prior to joining King’s College London. Alongside her doctoral studies, Anja has worked as a graduate teaching assistant at King’s since 2020, leading the seminars ‘Language and Communication’ and ‘Describing English Language’.

Her research project focuses on teachers’ practices including music in language teaching engaging with older learners. Further, language goals and reasons for the use of music are explored.
