Head of Teacher Education at Leeds Trinity University

My career began in the primary school, working across the key stages in schools located in North Wales and London. Since leaving the school classroom, I have worked in three universities and am currently Deputy Head of School at Leeds Trinity, where I have oversight of the Primary PGCE programme. My research interests relate to creativity and identity. I am currently in the final stages of a Professional Doctorate in Education. My thesis draws upon the conceptual tools of Pierre Bourdieu to explore how research engagement affects the professional idenity of teacher educators.
