Franz Hoeritzauer

Lecturer in Education at Ulster University

Franz Hoeritzauer holds an undergraduate degree in multimedia design and a master’s degree in educational multimedia. His professional experience spans a variety of educational contexts, including outdoor education centres and international schools. Specialising in post-primary art and design, Franz has maintained a long-standing interest in the theme of inclusion. Sustainability and inclusion serve as key motivators in his engagement with the creative process in both teaching and learning.
Currently, Franz teaches the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision within the PGCE Post-Primary programme at Ulster University and leads an undergraduate module titled Inclusive Educational Practices, where students critically examine challenges and develop solutions to learning barriers in Northern Ireland and beyond. His passion lies in promoting inclusive teaching and learning practices among peers and students to enhance access to meaningful and purposeful education.
