SIG Meet & Discuss: Philosophy of Education

The Philosophy of Education SIG represents those engaged in research and teaching in theoretical and empirical philosophy of education and those seeking to further their understanding of the field. The SIG understands education in its broadest sense, from upbringing and family life, through formal education, to the ‘education of grown-ups’, to use Stanley Cavell’s term.

This SIG forum will provide an opportunity for new members to meet other SIG members, to share feedback on the 2025 conference, and help to plan the SIG’s activities for the year ahead. We particularly welcome those starting their MA or doctoral journey in the field and we hope that the SIG will help you to feel part of a wider community of researchers and practitioners.
