Lucy Rycroft-Smith, Dr

Lucy Rycroft-Smith is a writer, researcher, speaker and designer in mathematics education, with particular expertise as a creative knowledge broker. She has a PhD from the University of Cambridge in knowledge brokering – investigating ways in which mathematics education research may be transformed for policy and practice. She is the author of The Equal Classroom: Life-Changing Thinking About Gender (2019) and Flip the System UK: A Teachers’ Manifesto (2017). A new book, The Primary Teacher's Maths Journeybook : A Year of Professional Learning, was published in 2022 (Cambridge University Press, 2022). She also writes and researches around issues of AI in education and society; gender and sexuality in education; and infographic design.
