Liz Rouse is an early childhood professional with a background in early years teaching and children’s centre leadership. She has been privileged to work as a class teacher and curriculum leader with children and colleagues across foundation stage and key stage 1.

She has also worked with children, families and early years practitioners as a children’s centre leader through Barnardo’s. More recently, she completed a doctorate focussing on the effects of infant massage programmes among young babies and their families. The study was a qualitative exploration of families’ experiences, used a praxeological case study methodology, and made use of video and storyboarding techniques. Her thesis is titled ‘How infant massage enhances pedagogical attachment in families facing challenging circumstances’.
