Tara is a lecturer and early career researcher in child development and education. Her main research interest is autism, with a focus on systemic practice and family systems. An autistic ally, family advocate, and Parent Carer Forum Co-Chair, she has worked closely with the autistic community for more than fifteen years. Her doctoral research centres on the development of the systemic attachment-based programme ‘SAFE with Schools’ [SwiS], exploring its application within education, supporting parents and teachers and the child they share care of. Tara lives with her family in Devon, UK.
