Ruth-Anne Lenga offers strategic leadership and management to the Centre and directs the innovative Masters module, The Holocaust in the Curriculum. This is the first of its kind in the UK and is rooted in the Centre’s ground breaking research findings. She has helped to conceive and deliver the UCL Beacon School Programme in Holocaust Education and leads the Centre’s engagement with Holocaust survivors.

Ruth-Anne Lenga played a key role in establishing the UCL Centre for Holocaust Education, shaping its direction and growth. She currently sits on its management board. She has held academic posts at the Institute of Education for over twenty years initiating programmes and partnerships in the UK and Israel. She lectures on Masters, PGCE, Bachelor of Education programmes and is external examiner for PhD candidates. Many of her former students have gone on to hold senior posts in schools, universities and government policy.

Her work in Holocaust education has been longstanding. She served extensively as Head of Education at the Jewish Museum London, overseeing many developments including the creation of a new Holocaust gallery. She has authored exhibitions and educational resources. Her expertise is sought by national and international organisations in Holocaust Education and interfaith work. She works closely with the Czech Scrolls Memorial Trust, Faith Matters, Facing History and Ourselves and The Shoah Foundation. She is currently advisor to the trustee board of The National Holocaust Centre.
