Runa Hestad Jenssen (PhD) is an associate professor at the Faculty of Arts and Education at Nord University. Runa has a background as a classical singer, with extensive experience as a soloist with various choirs and orchestras, both nationally and internationally.
Her research focuses on voice, inclusive music education practices, music and gender, embodiment and the political and sociocultural aspects of singing. She is currently the project manager in the Horizon Europe project dialoguing@rts, where 8 countries investigate and create performing arts education contexts where enhancing cultural literacy leads to social cohesion and inclusion.
