Paul Campbell

Vice Principal at ESF Sha Tin Junior School

Paul Campbell is Vice Principal at ESF Sha Tin Junior School in Hong Kong, prior to which he taught in Scotland, Australia and Spain. Paul is also a Partner Tutor at the University of Dundee, and EdD candidate at the University of Glasgow.

Paul’s professional interests relate to leadership, curriculum, assessment, parental engagement, self-evaluation, and professional learning. This links closely to his research interests. After completing a B.Ed. (Hons) in Primary Education at the University of Strathclyde, Paul completed a Master of Education where his research focused on teacher agency in education policy development in Scotland. Paul’s doctoral thesis was on collaboration for school and system wide improvement.

Paul is widely engaged in the broader education community. He is Chair of the International Professional Development Association (IPDA) and also serves as a Co-coordinator of the Educational Leadership Network for the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI), as well as chair of their Publications sub-committee. Paul also sits on the editorial board of the Management in Education (MiE) journal as social media sub-editor.
