Paul Campbell, Dr

Dr Paul Campbell is Vice Principal at ESF Sha Tin Junior School in Hong Kong, and a Scholar Practitioner Fellow at the Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change (APCLC). Paul has a doctorate from the University of Glasgow, and is also a Partner Tutor at the University of Dundee on Master of Education programmes.

Paul’s professional interests relate to leadership, curriculum, assessment, parental engagement, self-evaluation, and professional learning. This links closely to his research interests. After completing a B.Ed. (Hons) in Primary Education at the University of Strathclyde, Paul completed a Master of Education where his research focused on teacher agency in education policy development in Scotland. Paul’s doctoral thesis was on collaboration for school and system wide improvement.

Paul is widely engaged in the broader education community. He is an elected board member of the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI) and also serves as a Co-coordinator of their Educational Leadership Network, as well as chair of their Publications sub-committee. Paul also sits on the editorial board of the School Leadership and Management (SLAM) and Management in Education (MiE) journals.
