Nicola Darwood, Dr

Senior Lecturer in English Literature at University of Bedfordshire

I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire, UK where I lead the English undergraduate provision. I received my PhD from De Montfort University, UK in 2007 and my research interests include: early twentieth century women writers, specifically the work of Elizabeth Bowen (the subject of her PhD) and Stella Benson; children’s fiction; Anglo-Irish literature and the Gothic. I teach on a range of modules across all three years of our undergraduate degrees (including modules on eighteenth century literature, modern Irish literature and book history), and supervise a number of research students.
