Dr Nancy Katingima Day has recently completed her doctoral studies in the philosophy of music education. Her research explores the nexus between African philosophy, music and music education in contemporary Kenya. Through the eyes of Utu, an East African theoretical framework, she discusses matters such as decolonisation, aesthetics and creativity. She is a tutor with the Masters programme on Creativity in Education at the university of Exeter and is an affiliate member of Creative and Emergent Educational futures Network (CEEN).
