Person

Michael Eggleton, Mr

Deputy Headteacher at Charles Dickens Primary School

My experience:
Over recent years I have been supporting schools and the Department for Education in creating whole school approaches to positive mental health. I have led courses, seminars and offered direct school support. I am a trainer of RULER (Recognising, Understanding, Labeling, Expressing, and Regulating emotions) an evidence-based approach to whole school wellbeing from Yale University.

I have extensive experience of developing middle managers through coaching, school to school support and leading NPQML courses.

I also support schools to develop acccurate and achievable pupil premium plans which ensure children make strong progress.

Come and see me:
Come and visit Charles Dickens to learn about our three tiered approach to supporting children’s wellbeing along with learning about our wellbeing curriculum. You could observe a wellbeing lesson and watch intervention lessons, both evidence-informed and manageable approaches for schools.

I can offer professional development on:
– Coaching
– Moving into middle leadership
– Wellbeing and mental health of pupils
– Leading a subject area, year group or phase group

I can support teachers/leaders with:
– Improving behaviour for learning
– Moderation in Key Stage One
